Aftermath of FIFA ban: Adamu retires from football

Following the fresh two-year ban slammed on him, the embattled former FIFA and CAF Executive member, Dr. Amos Adamu has announced his retirement from football administration.
In an exclusive chat with, the 64-year-old , who was recently banned for two years by the world governing body, maintains his innocence and alleges the sanctions were politically motivated by a mafia in  FIFA.

Dr. Adamu was Nigeria’s top ranked football official in the international bodies until November 2010, when he received a three-year ban and 10,000 Swiss franc fine from FIFA Ethics Committee after being found guilty of breaching bribery rules.
